"The Case For The Real Christ" is a great book that was written by Lee Strobel. Strobel is a former atheist that wrote this book to see if Jesus was a real person that did die on the cross, was buried, and rose from the grave. Through his investigation it led to a conclusion that Christ was real that did die, was buried, and rose from the dead. His conclusion led him to his salvation.
One of the things I like about the book is his interviews with different people that have names most people could not recognize, because they are not celebrities. Even though they do not have celebrity status, they have far more contributions that are more important for this world. They contribute to this world by defend, and present Christianity against secularism in debates throughout the world. Their battles of Christianity create a forum to present truth for people to accept, or reject Christ. Their debates creates constant friction that allows light to do battle with darkness, and it keeps evil from taking over completely. Names like Michael Licona, Edwin M. Yamauchi, and Michael L. Brown are not recognizable names. These guys to me are unknown heroes because of their contributions to the faith, and are inspiring to me to keep their work alive. Their PH.Ds are the by product of their works, but their purpose is to engage the faith into the world to march in obedience to the Great Commission that Christ commanded us over 2,000 years ago to do right before He ascended into heaven. They are not unknown heroes for having PH.Ds, but for their purpose in life.
