“Skate-board And Marijuana”

This morning the pastor was sharing that a young person had skateboard accident that put it into a coma, and I was thinking like most in the congregation that’s awful. Everyone, including myself, hopes that person gets better, but I had sometime to think about it to type my thoughts on it. I am now thinking about that person to ask myself these two questions about the cause of the coma. Those questions are was it cause of the skateboard, or was it cause of a choice to do something risky like skate-boarding that  cause the coma?
Let’s state the fact that skate-boarding is dangerous to ride, but people ride them anyways knowing that fact.Even with government regulation to protect skateboarders, it is still dangerous, because there are still circumstances that cannot be control that can still harm the rider. Even again the fact skateboarding is dangerous cause it could do bodily harm that could result in death even with safety regulations it is still legal to do, and federal government has not band it from the free market. Yet marijuana, or any illegal drug, is illegal to use in most states, and some people could argue that skateboarding is just as dangerous if not more than smoking marijuana.
I think skateboarding should be legal along with illegal drug usage, because people have the right in taking risks that could harm their body. Making skateboarding legal, and not marijuana is not being consistent with our Constitution. Both products of skateboard, and illegal drugs have same risks to the human body. Yet people would use them for same reason in giving themselves thrills, even if both products could cause bodily harms.
Now I do not skateboard, use illegal drugs, or hardly use drugs except taking an aspirin for a head ache. Now people can abuse legal drugs just as much as illegal drugs, but one of the things that make certain drugs illegal is that it could bring bodily harm to that person. Again so does skateboarding, but it is not illegal. Even with safety regulations people that skateboard could still harm themselves, so comparing skate-boarding to smoking pot shows inconsistency of our laws that does not reflect our constitution.
The only way to make skateboarding completely safe is to make it illegal, but people would still do it just like people using illegal drugs. Making skateboarding illegal would be unconstitutional just like banned of certain drugs, and again both products do cause bodily harm.
Remember it was the founders of this country that signed the Constitution that it was not the government’s right to tell a person on what they can, or cannot do with their body. Roles of our federal government are to protect us from foreign invaders, and they are failing that. Just take a look at our borders, and next role is to protect us from counterfeiting. Again they failed in that as well, and last role was to protect us from treason. That’s another thing failed to do, and I can speculate that maybe at least 90% of our leaders at local, state, legislative, judicial, and executive have sold their country out.

“Be Fill With The Spirit”

Bruce Lee is one of my favorite person of the past, because he was more than just a martial artist. He’s consider a renaissance man that along with his martial arts he was a movie star, a writer, and underneath all that he did he was a philosopher. His philosophy of Jeet Kune Do, fighting hybrid he developed, was ‘be like water’, because water is shapeless, and formless. It could be into many things like cups, tea pot, hands, and it can also crash. Whenever I think of Bruce Lee that one of things I thought about is his quote, “Be Like Water.”
Jesus talks about water quite a bit, and it is recorded in the Gospel of the New Testament. One of the gospels I think of when Jesus uses the word ‘water’ is the gospel of John, and there are 3 stories I think of in it that Jesus uses the word ‘water.’ First story of think of is when Nicodemus visited Jesus at night, and it’s chapter 3. Jesus knew the reason why Nicodemus wanted to visit Him, and it was to find the answer on how to see God’s kingdom. Jesus gave him that answer when he stated that a person must be born of water, and spirit in order to see God’s kingdom. When stating a person being born of water Christ was referring to the physical birth, and when he stated to be born of spirit He was referring to salvation. The spirit, like Bruce Lee’s water, is formless,  shapeless, and it goes where ever like the wind.
Next story I think of when Jesus uses the word ‘water’ is Him with the Samaritan woman, and that is found in chapter 4. In verse 4 of that chapter it stated that He needed to go, and the spirit led Him alone with a Samaritan woman at a well while His disciples went into town to buy food. According to John it was the 6th hour of the day, and first thing that Jesus said to the Samaritan woman was “Give Me a drink.” The conversation that Jesus had with her was going to be about salvation, but Jesus uses water to make his point on the importance of water. Jesus states that salvation is like water in that it fulfills people’s thirst, but unlike water in the well that people will thirst again for His water will fulfill their thirst the first time it is drank. Jesus’s water is salvation, and when people drink it the Spirit will enter into that person.
Next story I think of when Jesus uses the word water was on the last day at the Great feast, and that could be found in chapter 7 of John. Jesus states that “If anyone thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” Again Jesus was making the same point he made with Nicodemus in that you must be born of spirit, and living water is that. Once the spirit is in us, than living water will flow out of us when we believe in Him as scripture states.
So in order to be fill with the spirit, than their has to be two births. Those two births are mention in John 3 that being born of water(physical birth), and born of spirit (salvation). Once we are fill with the Spirit, than we can share it with others the same way Jesus shared it with the Samaritan woman. That flow of living waters from us comes from the source of the Spirit,, and we are to use His abilities He gave us to share that living water with others that are thirsty, so they can be filled with the spirit. Filling others with the Spirit is by the power of the gospel, and it is a command to share others that living water for the Gospel to work into others to be filled with the Spirit. Being filled with the Spirit renews our minds daily through His word, and it instructs us on how to use His abilities that He gave us that Paul calls spiritual gifts. So be filled with the Spirit.

"My Opinions of Same Sex Marriage"

In the last quarter of this century same sex marriage is a subject that's brought up at the national level, and it is used by politicians to get into office. Marriage is a definition that is constantly trying to be redefined by people that belief homosexuality is way of creation, while people homosexuality is a choice that should not change definition of marriage. This subject matter is so huge that federal government is involved, and they are the ones that also debate about it. Some believe that the subject matter is important, while others use it as a promotional tool to get into office. Same sex marriage is a subject that not only wastes a lot of intellectual thought, but it also cost tax payers a lot of money. It also creates harm to our constitution by taking a person's ability to make choices on their own, and that's something that God has given to all mankind.

As a believer in Christ I know that homosexuality is a sin, and God made marriage to be for man and woman. Those two point of views will never change, even if government decides to redefine marriage. I did not get my two view points, because government taught me. I came across those view points through God's free will, and God wants us to conclude in the choices that we make. He does not expect government to do that for us, and our independence in our nation is being erased by people being taught to be dependent upon the government. Federal government defining marriage is a dependent upon that, and it is not their role. The federal government's roles are to protect our nation from foreign invaders like our borders, protect us from counterfeiters like the Federal Reserve, and treason like any leader that meets with secret groups like Bilderberg. Their role is not to tell us how to live our lives, because that violates or constitution. It should be a citizen's responsibility on how they should live, and be willing to live with consequences of their actions. I do not think same sex marriage should be force by the federal government, nor should it be force by states, but I think that it should be an individual right. Here are the reasons why I believe that same sex marriage should be an individual right.

First reason comes to mind is that it will take this subject matter away from politics, so it cannot be used as a promotional tool. Next reason that comes to mind from that is that it will not cause tax payers to waste their dollars, so first two reasons support my statement on why federal government should not define marriage. Next reason on why same sex marriage should be an individual right has to do with why I do not think it should be a state right as well, because states definition of it could violate that free will with their defintion. They could violate by making a pastor that does not believe in free marriage do same sex marriage, so that pastor does not have a choice. State's consequences for not performing same sex marriage could cost a pastor his job, and violate his free speech when speaking against it. As well as federal government states could put pastor's into a position to compromise the truth, or lose their right to preach freely.

If that pastor believes in all of God's word, than He knows that homosexuality is a sin, and people He's preaching to as well. They also know marriage is defined between man and woman, and should not need government to define it for them. Through God's free will believers are able choose on rather to follow Christ, or not follow Him. It is through the power of the gospel that believers come to know Christ, and understand His word. In that believers have individual freedom they still have responsibility in obeying God's word, so it is an individual right on rather, or not they want to perform same sex marriage.

Potential consequences of a pastor performing same sex marriage are it can lose its job, and congregation. Those two consequences hopefully are enough for pastor not to perform same sex marriage, but if they are true believers that live God's word, than that subject matter should not be debated. That is why I believe that same sex marriage should be an individual right.

“Two Things That I want to be remember By”

I had an interesting thoughts for today, and I cannot remember what led me to those thoughts. I thought of how I wanted people to remember me by when I pass away, and later today I found out the founder of “Apple” Steve Jobs passed away due to illness. Obviously he was a well known business person, that made a fortune in computers, and his influence changed technology. Jobs had numerous achievements, but I wonder what thoughts did he have as his life was dwindling down. Did he thought of his company that he started up, did he thought of how much money he accumulated, or was he satisfy in the family man he was? Did he wish he could have spend more time with his family, and all of these questions are just speculations. One of things I hope is that he was a believer of Christ, and only God knows that.
When I pass from this earth to be with Jesus there are two things that I want to be remember by. First one is that I want people to know me as someone that love Jesus with all His heart, and that surrender his life to His will. I hope people see that in my actions, and second thing I want people to know me by was that he loved his family second to Jesus. I want to be the best husband, and father that God would want me to be. That means always striving to be there, and wanting to spend time with them more than anything else that puts time I give them 2nd to Jesus. If I am able to accomplish those things, than I feel that did live a pretty good life. I do not want to be laying on my death bed, or going to heaven wishing that I spent more time with my family cause I can only do that on earth. Those are the two things that I desire to do while I am on this earth, and I am asking God for many years to do that. I know that I will hear the words from Jesus saying “well done faithful servant”, and I hope that people on earth will celebrate in that as well as the two things that I wanted to accomplish. I hope those are the two things that Steve Jobs accomplish as well, because there is not enough money in the world to replace time.
