Only 14% of people at the age of 28 are optimistic for the future, because economic downturns have brought a cloud of negativity that’s made this world a darker place. It’s getting so dark that people cannot see any optimism of the future, and people of evolution cannot see any hope. They believe bad times repeat itself, but believers should not think like them. In fact our future is very bright, because it is eternal.
Believers should know that tribulation will come, before His Kingdom on earth. It is described quite well in Revelations 21:4. God promised His children that He will wipe away all tears, so there will be no sadness. He also promise us no more death, sorrow, and no pain. There will be a new earth that will not be like today’s earth. Man’s curse of this earth is the root of tears, death, sorrow, and pain. Just thinking about the economy causes these things, and some people thought of those things when the economy is good. This world tells you that wealth will bring you prosperity, and that’s as much of a lie as Satan’s when he told Adam that he could make him a god.
Being a god is what some if not most men have been trying to do since man’s curse enter into this world when Adam bite that fruit he was told not to, and they have tried very hard to do that. No man on his best day could provide himself, or others eternity. Yet Christ on his worst day started to provide that by being the blood sacrifice to take away our curse, and His resurrection has given us eternal life. That came by the power of His word, and that’s why believers can be optimistic for the future. That’s guarantee, and does not need an analyze to break it down to discover its probability.
Believers should be optimistic for the future, because others can see the hope of Christ in us. That hope could be a reminder to other believers to focus on things that our more important, and it can transcend hope to others that do not belief. Those that do not belief will have no future, because Revelations talks of a place to where those that did not belief will be spending. That’s the lake of fire, and people going there will not be having the economy on their mind.
Reading Revelation chapters 20 and 21 gives us an idea on what is in store for the future. These chapters, and along with the Bible is what believers should have in their hearts. They should also be meditating it daily to remind them of their future, and that should build optimism. Optimism for the future came 2,000 years ago when Christ rose from the grave, and Christ’s sacrifice made it possible for us to be optimistic for the future.
